unbaked 9-inch pie shell
3 eggs
1/4 tsp salt
1 c. brown sugar (not packed)
1 c. corn syrup
1/3 c. melted butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 c. pecan halves
Line pie pan with pastry and crimp edges.
Slightly beat eggs with the salt. Add sugar, corn syrup, butter and vanilla and continue with rotary beater.
Sprinkle the pecans evenly over bottom of pie shell and pour in egg mixture. Bake at 350°F. for about 45 minutes, until crust is done and filling just set. Delicious with a border of whipped cream, or with ice cream.
